Details

Silybin, one of three flavonoids comprising silymarin, is the most predominant and biologically active flavonoid of milk thistle. Its strong antioxidant activity can protect liver cells free radical damage and strengthen liver cell membranes. It also helps maintain the body’s own built-in antioxidant systems – glutathione and superoxide dismutase (SOD). The silybin is complexed with phosphatidylcholine, as silybin phytosome, to provide synergistic liver protection benefits from both the milk thistle and the phospatidylcholine.*
